Questionnaire Answers
Plan for Video
3-point lighting.
The first lighting setup I have chosen is 3-point lighting.
This is when 3 different lights are used but for 3 different reasons.
For 3-point lighting you need one light which will be called
the key light, this light will be the strongest out of all the lights used.
This is because the light will be places right in front of the actors to
brighten the front of them.
The second light is called the fill light, this light is
used mostly to fill in any shadows of the actors. This light will not be as
bright as the key light as its main purpose is to cover the shadows created by
the person.
The last light which will be used in this setup will be a
back light. This light creates a soft glow in the background. Its places above
or below the actors but out of shot.
Equipment which will be used
A canon 5d mk3 this is because I feel comfortable enough and
know how to use a camera like this. I also enjoy creating videos with this
camera as it’s easy to use.
A wheel will also be used to allow you to get a few shots in
which you want the camera to be stead enough but also want the camera to move
side to side without adding lots of shake to the video.
A tripod might be needed to be used in some shots which will
be recorded outside. This will be easier to use and more stable when it comes
to certain shots when I want the camera in one position and not to move.
LED Lights can be used for creating an atmosphere and allowing
the lighting to decide the theme.
Gels for lights will let you decide the theme and atmosphere
I want for certain shots. This will let me make some shots grimmer and scarier
by using colours which signify blood and gore.
Smoke bombs will be used in a few shots this will be used as
a prop and Car flares may be used just depending on if they are needed
in the video or if I could have better ideas without it.
Other producers would use equipment such as drones, planes
and special effects.
